Training Review - Weeks 39 & 40
My race season officially finished yesterday with Dundee Uni Aquathlon. I had a pretty poor swim, and then a better run than I deserved. I did something to hurt my back in the pool. Probably an effect of my hip, and being a year out from my last set of injections.
So now my plan is winter training, and maybe some running races.
I missed a whole bunch of swimming over the last few weeks and spending my Wednesday evenings coaching instead of swimming is going to basically make my end of year swim target impossible to get to. I am about 80 miles behind on running as well, and while that is possible to recoup with 3 months left, I can't see my hip tolerating that sort of load.
